About us


SUPERPROD develops and produces animation and fiction TV series and theatrical feature films. SUPERPROD teams up with producers, artists and talents from all around the world to bring to the screens a diversity of films and series. SUPERPROD has its headquarters in Paris and operates an animation studio based in Angoulême, in the heart of the Cognac Valley.

SUPERPROD coproduced the animation feature film SONG OF THE SEA, by Tomm Moore, in coproduction with Cartoon Saloon, Melusine, Big Farm and Norlum. The film was nominated for Best Animated Feature Film at the 2015 Oscar Academy Awards and Cesar Academy Awards. The film won the Best Animated Film Award at the European Film Awards and won prizes and nominations in many festivals around the world.

SUPERPROD FILMS also recently coproduced, with Nexus Factory and Bidibul Productions, the fiction feature film  DEAD MAN TALKING, by and with Patrick Ridremont, starring Virginie Effira and François Berléand. The film received 8 Magritte nominations at the 2014 Belgian Academy Awards and a nomination at the 2014 Cesar Academy Awards.

SUPERPROD recently produced the animation film WHITE FANG, based on Jack London’s novel, with Bidibul and Big Beach. WHITE FANG was selected for the Sundance Film Festival, TIFF Kids and NYC International Children’s Film Fest. It will be released theatrically in 2018 in Europe and was acquired by Netflix for a number of territories, including the US, Canada, Latin America,  Asia and Japan.

In 2015 SUPERPROD completed two movies: CAFARD , an adult animation movie directed by Jan Bultheel, in coproduction with Tondo Films, Tarantula and Topkapi; and JAILBIRD, a fiction film by Audrey Estrougo, starring Sophie Marceau and Suzanne Clément, in coproduction with Rouge International and Nexus Factory. 

On the TV side, SUPERPROD produced the animation series LASSIE for TF1, ZDF, Canal + and Dreamworks Animation, the animation series KIKA & BOB 2 for Canal + Family, RTBF, VRT, NTR, THE NEW ADVENTURES OF GERONIMO STILTON, an animation TV series based on the famous book property (over 115 million copies sold worldwide), for France Télévisions and RAI, in coproduction with Atlantyca Entertainment. 
SUPERPROD has also been producing PAT THE DOG, based on the famous mobile app, for Canal +, VRT, RTBF, Radio Canada and RAI, and pre-school series HELEN’S LITTLE SCHOOL for France Televisions, Téléquébec, BBC Kids Canada, TFO, Knowledge and Discovery Kids Latin America.

In 2018 Superprod is launching 4 new series with major partners: JOKER JOE with M6, OSMOND with France TV, ANNA & FROGA with BBC Worldwide, PAT THE DOG 2 with Canal + and Rai.

SUPERPROD is also developing animation movie THE KID, directed by Rupert Wyatt (Planet of the Apes, the Origins) and Christian Volckman (Renaissance), based on Charlie Chaplin’s masterpiece, and a theatrical adaptation of CALIMERO, as well as a slate of book-based live-action feature films.

Together, Clément Calvet and Jérémie Fajner have produced over 25 series for TV (around 400 hours of programmes) sold in over 120 countries, such as Lassie, Geronimo Stilton, Galactik FootballRobotboyCooking ? Child’s play !Franklin,… and 7 feature films: Franklin and the turtle lake treasure (2007), Eleanor’s secret (2009), Santa’s Apprentice (2010), Dead Man Talking (2013), Song of the Sea (2014), Cafard (2015). Jailbird (2016).
Gathering partners such as France Télévisions, M6, TF1, Canal +, Disney Channel, Cartoon Network, Super RTL, BBC, RAI, Orange Studio, OCS, Cinéfrance, Studio Canal, Haut & Court, Telepool,… most of those programmes are international coproductions, with partners in the USA, Canada, Germany, Italy, Luxemburg, Ireland, Belgium, The Netherlands, Australia, Sweden, China, India, etc.

After a few years working in the digital market in New York and with Microsoft in London, Virginie pursued her career in animation as production manager at Blue Spirit studios, working on series such as The Mysterious Cities of Gold and Mini Ninjas (both for TF1), The long long holidays (for France Télévisions). As Head of Operations & Productions of SUPERPROD and of its studios, Virginie oversees the production of all our animation projects.(Reduce)

Graduated from the Ecole Technique de Photographie et d'Audiovisuel in Toulouse and Les Gobelins in Paris, Patrick Ermosilla has worked as assistant director and technical director on several full CGI animation series as well as on a couple of animation feature films such as Eleanor's Secret or Santa's Apprentice. In charge of the artistic and technical development of CGI projects at Gaumont-Alphanim from 2008 he worked on CGI series such as, to name a few, Bao Battle (developed with Disney XD), Lanfeust Quest (for M6) or iconic property Calimero (for TF1).(Reduce)

Since he graduated from Arts Decoratifs School and Gobelins Paris, Stéphane Gallard has been entailed for the last fifteen years in many animation series such as Code Lyoko, Iron Man, Arthur & The Invisibles_the series, Lanfeust, Helen's Little School, Sophie the giraffe and animation feature films such as The Frog's Prophecy and The Prodigies. In his various positions Stéphane has been involved in all aspects of the creative process, from literary to creative concept, production design, artistic direction and direction. He created the designs and was the art director on Alexandre Espigares’ movie White Fang. (Reduce)

Carole started her career with EM.TV in Germany in 2001 before joining Télé Images in 2003 as International Sales Executive and then Carrère Group in 2006 as International Sales Manager. In 2008 she was appointed VP Sales, Acquisitions & New Media for Cyber Group Studios and led the development of international activities.
